with Acoustic Thing he is the lead guitarist/vocalist with the bluesy rock
band 3rd Degree.
Todd has performed at various area
festivals including Darien Fest and Beatle Fest and was a guest on the local
television show The Scene. In addition to his performance schedule he

Connie Johnson

obtaining a bachelors degree in music. She has been playing keyboard
in the band 3rd Degree for the past four years and is
also active directing children in community theatre.
Connie was featured on Channel 9's "Chicago's Very
Own" because of her ability to play more than thirteen different
instruments.
While performing together in
3rd Degree Todd & Connie discovered their similar
tastes in acoustic music. After several months of people asking if the
we're playing with 3rd Degree or doing the "acoustic thing" they settled on
the name Acoustic Thing for their duo.
Acoustic Thing now has a 5 song demo
available upon request and their original songs are available on the CD
"Songs for Joanna".
John
McShane has been playing bass as a
member of several bands in the Chicago area including long time band Jerry's
Kids. He has been playing with 3rd Degree for over 5 years. His
keen ear and ability to harmonize on vocals has been key to the development
of 3rd Degree's wall of sound.
Steve
Yarbrough has been a viable part of the Chicago
rock scene for over a decade and a half playing drums for such bands as Mud Turtle,
Down and Dirty and Concrete Shoes. He has also freelanced as a studio
