GLEE GROUP

 

Glee group is for students completing 

6th – 12th grade.  (Younger students may audition with faculty consent) 

 

Students will…

¯ Sing, dance and narrate songs from the hit TV series Glee such as True Colors, Lean On Me,  Don't Stop Believing, It's My Life, Walking On Sunshine and more.

 

Performance will be held at Lincoln-way Central on Saturday evening, July 30th Tickets are $9 for adults $8 for kids 12 and under

 

TIMES:  Meets for 4 weeks,  Wednesday & Thursday evenings June 29th & 30th, July 13th & 14th, 20th & 21st and 27th & 28th 6:00 to 8:30 pm No rehearsal 4th of July week.

 

     DRESS REHEARSAL: Friday, July 29th during the day at Lincoln-way Central.

 

 Tuition is $165 per student.  A $50 non-refundable deposit is due at the time of enrollment to reserve your spot.  Tuition is due in full by May 31st, 2011. Deposits are non-refundable and there are no refunds of tuition after June 13th, 2011  There is an early enrollment discount of $15 for those who pay in full by May 15th 2011.

 

           Rising Star Camps

Rising star camp is an exciting and fun introduction to the world of music theatre for students entering K to 3rd grade.  Students will

 

¯ Sing    ¯ Dance    ¯ Act    ¯ Make crafts

 

There are 4 separate sessions, each one meets Monday - Friday from 10:00 am until noon at All About Music.  Students may enroll in multiple sessions. Tuition is $89 and include all materials enrollment is limited to ensure individual attention.

 

Little Orphan Annie June 13th to 17th

Featuring the songs "Hard Knock Life", "Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile" and "Tomorrow"

 

      Willy Wonka June20th to 24th

     Featuring the songs "The Candy Man", "I've Got a Golden Ticket" and "Oompa-Loompa"

 

Pirates and Swashbuckler's June 27th to July 1st

Featuring the songs "Pirates Through and Through",  "Pieces of Eight" and "Somewhere There's A Great Adventure"

 

Mary Poppins July 11th to 15th

Featuring the songs, "Spoonful of Sugar", "Let's Go Fly A Kite" and "Chim-Chim-Cheree" and "Step In Time"

 

 

There will be a parent demonstration outside on the last day of class weather permitting only  Tuition is non-refundable 2 weeks before the start of camp and 50% refundable 4 weeks or earlier prior to the start of camp

 

Beginning Guitar

A group guitar class for beginners ages 9 and up, students will  learn to read notes and play chords.

 

DATES:  Meets Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday afternoon from 1:00 to 2:00pm for two weeks June 13, 14, 15th and June 20, 21, 22nd.

 

The cost is $99 per student which includes the cost of the lesson book that is yours to keep at the end of class.  Guitar rental is available for an additional fee.  Space is limited to insure quality education and individual attention.

 

 

 

   MUSIC THEATRE CAMP

   The Princess and the Pea

               July 19th - 30th

Music Theatre is an instructional camp open to students entering 1st – 10th grade.  This years camp will  conclude with a full production of the popular musical "The Princess and the Pea"  performed at  Lincoln-Way Central on Saturday, July 30, 2011.  Camp meets for 2 weeks at the Pipe Fitter's Training Facility, 10850 187th Street Mokena.

Students will…

¯ Sing    ¯ Dance    ¯ Act    ¯ Create Props

 

TIMES: Monday thru Friday 9:30 - 2:30pm.  Parents need to come in and check kids in at drop off and pickup.

 

¨ Friday, July 29th will be dress rehearsal at Lincoln-way Central instead of regular camp

¨ Saturday, July 30th evening performance 7:00pm

*  In order to have a successful event of this size volunteer support is crucial.  Parents are required to volunteer a minimum of 3 hours per child or pay a $30 buyout fee per child so someone can be hired to replace you.
